APS
After 10 years of
continued growth, APS decided to expand its horizons and apply its
expertise to the low to medium volume surface mount assembly market.
The basic SMT manufacturing process can be simplified to the following
steps: print, place, reflow. To address these applications, APS, in
1992, introduced its own line of manual stencil printers, manual pick
and place machines and benchtop reflow ovens - the Gold-Series. These
systems quickly established APS as a leading SMT equipment provider. In
fact, the Gold-Series SMT line, sold in over 20 countries, has become
the standard for low volume surface mount assembly!
APS continues to
focus on the three-step manufacturing process for medium to low-volume
assembly. To answer our customers' needs, APS most recently introduced
automated stencil printers and pick-and-place machines as well as
new-technology, high temperature inline reflow ovens. The L-series pick
and place machines are specifically designed for facilities that
require quick set-up, ease of operation, high accuracy and high
reliability. Even during our industry's worst downturn ever, the
L-series automated pick and place machines have been widely accepted
and further establish APS as the leader in low volume automation.
